On Saturday, the Franklin Historical Society marked the city’s 70th year with a program titled “From Cabins to Condos.” As a bonus for attendees, all living former mayors, along with the current mayor, were in attendance.
Historical Society member Donald Schwartz, who also served 19 years as a trustee in the Village of Hales Corners, shared why he took the opportunity to photograph the mayors.
“I recognized not only the fabulous program, Cabins to Condos, presented by the Franklin Historical Society, but also, the four living former Mayors of Franklin and the current Mayor were all in attendance.
I’m only sorry that Mayor Nelson, had to leave for another appointment and isn’t pictured.
My intention with the picture was a genuine interest knowing that it was a very unique experience to see all of you in the same room enjoying an outstanding history program on the history of Franklin.”
